Hi, I’m Cassey. I design for people with too much on their plate.

Teachers are stretched thin. Assigning work shouldn’t be one more puzzle.

How I got here

I design for people with too much on their plate: busy executives, overwhelmed teachers, sleep-deprived parents. For four years, I designed classroom tools for teachers at Khan Academy.

Before I designed for busy people, I worked right alongside them. That’s why I care so much about protecting people’s time and attention.

My path looks a lot like the design squiggle. I loved both human behavior and art and assumed I’d have to pick one. Then a talk on design thinking showed me a field where psychology and art had a baby. Getting into design took side hustles, persistence, and one well-timed “Put me in, coach, I can design that.”

As AI changes how products get built, the question I keep asking is whether a product gives people time back or takes more of it. I want to keep designing on the right side of that line, for people who don’t have a minute to spare.
